Incense Burning Tips and Instructions

Never leave burning incense unattended

Burning incense is hot and should be handled with care. The glowing tip of incense sticks, cones, or dhoop sticks is hot and can case significant burn on the skin or garment if mishandled.

Always place your incense burner on a heat-resistant surface. This is especially important for charcoal burning incense (ie. resin or gum incense) since the burner/censer can get very hot from the heat transfer. Handle with care and use protective gloves if necessary.

Make sure all incense material are completely extinguished before discarding. Pay especial attention for charcoal ash, as they can remain hot for a long period.
